Rules

RANKOFF is a public sponsored leaderboard. A listing's paid bid determines its sponsored position. It is not an editorial review, endorsement, or organic search ranking.

How ranking works

  • New listings start at $5 and use whole US dollars.
  • To take a position, your total bid must be at least $1 above the bid currently holding that position.
  • Equal bids keep their placement order; the earlier settled bid ranks higher.
  • Today ranks activity in a rolling 24-hour window. The same settled bid contributes to all-time totals.
  • Raising an existing listing charges only the difference in production, after the payment provider confirms checkout.

What may be listed

Only a product website or profile that you own or are authorized to represent. No adult content, invite or group-chat links, malware, scams, impersonation, unlawful offers, counterfeit goods, or links that hide the destination.

Listings are public. We may refuse, recategorize, hide, or remove a listing that breaks these rules or creates legal, safety, or reputational risk.

Service agreement

Terms of Service

By browsing RANKOFF, submitting a listing, or completing production checkout, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.

What a payment means

A payment buys a chance to occupy the sponsored rank supported by that amount when the payment settles. It does not promise clicks, traffic, customers, revenue, a fixed rank, or a specific duration. Another buyer may pay more and move the listing down.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that you control the submitted destination, that its information is accurate, and that the destination follows applicable advertising, privacy, intellectual-property, consumer, and regulated-industry laws. You may not manipulate clicks, bypass limits, scrape the board for a competing service, or submit a deceptive destination.

Refunds and availability

Production ranking payments are intended to be final because placement begins when payment settles. Being outranked, receiving fewer clicks than expected, or later removal for a rules breach does not create a refund, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. The service is provided as-is and may change, pause, or become unavailable.

RANKOFF is not responsible for third-party destination sites or provider outages. Questions and rights notices: hello@rankoff.io.

Data practices

Privacy Policy

RANKOFF is designed to collect only the information needed to operate the board, prevent abuse, support checkout, and understand aggregate usage.

Information we may process in production

  • A random visitor identifier cookie for checkout continuity, click limits, and abuse prevention.
  • The submitted URL, category, bid amount, public listing metadata, and payment confirmation identifiers.
  • Listing clicks, timestamp, a visitor identifier, and a hashed IP address for rate limiting and fraud reduction.
  • Basic technical data such as browser, referrer, IP address, and messages sent to support.

Payment data

RANKOFF does not store full card numbers. Production checkout is intended to be handled by Dodo Payments, which processes payment and may return confirmation, amount, and order identifiers. Their own terms and privacy notice apply to payment processing.

Public data and retention

Rank, spend, listing name, image, description, category, and destination link are public and may be indexed. Payment and accounting records may be kept as required for tax, fraud, disputes, and legal obligations. Visitor identifiers and click-protection records are retained only as long as useful for those purposes.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, or objection by emailing hello@rankoff.io. The current demo does not send any of this data to a server.

Checkout model

Payments

RANKOFF's production payment flow is intended to use a provider-hosted Dodo Payments checkout. RANKOFF would create a pending bid, send the amount and bid identifier to the provider, and only publish the rank after confirmed settlement.

Supported payment experience

The provider-hosted page would show available payment methods for the buyer's country and device, collect applicable taxes, and handle card security. RANKOFF would not ask users to paste card numbers into the board.

Current demo status: no checkout session is created, no payment method is connected, and no charge is made. The modal's Dodo Payments row is a visual production preview only.
